        VAN BUREN - Doris Ouellette, 79, died May 21, 2003, at a Van Buren nursing home. She was born in Cyr Plantation, June 10, 1923, the daughter of Xavier and Melvina (Blier) Fongemie. She was employed as a cook helper at Borderview Manor for many years until her retirement in 1989. Mrs. Ouellette is survived by one daughter, Claudette Castonguay and her husband, Richard, of Van Buren; four sons, Claude Ouellette and his wife,Simone, of Terryville, Conn.; Carl Ouellette and his wife, Donata, of Kennebunk; Michael Ouellette and his wife, Rachel, Paul Ouellette and his fiance, Lori, all of Van Buren; two sisters, Rosella Dickinson of Caribou and Florence Beaulieu of Rhode Island; three brothers, Maurice Fongemie of Florida; Albert and Claude Fongemie, both of Van Buren, and Jules Fongemie of New Britain, Conn.; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Leonard Ouellette; andby a daughter, Diane (Ouellette) Brady, both in 2000. Relatives and friends may call at the Ouellette-Thibault Funeral Home, 12 High St., VanBuren, 7-9 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m. until time of service on Friday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at the St. Bruno-St. Remi Catholic Church. Committal service and intermentwill be in the Parish cemetery.
