FORT KENT - Romeo Blier, 94, beloved husband of the late Melinda (Thibodeau) Blier, died Sept. 29, 2001, at a Fort Kent health-care facility. He was born in Fort Kent, June 2, 1907, the son of Joseph and Margret (Lafrance) Blier. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by five daughters, Alphena Daigle of Frenchville, Onida Dubois of Melford, Maine, Velma Jandreau of Fort Fairfield, Bernice Grey ofWatertown, Conn., and Violet Savage of Gorham; seven sons, Norman of Fort Fairfield, Herman of Chester, Mass., Maurice of New Britain, Conn.,Donald of Berlin, Conn., Harold of Southington, Conn., Reynold of Arizona, and Camille of Berlin, Conn. Romeo is also survived by 35 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home, Fort Kent, from 8 a.m. until time of service on Tuesday. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Louis Catholic Church, Fort Kent, with the Rev. Claude Gendreau officiating. Committal service will be in the parish cemetery.
