        BELOIT, WIS. - Alma A. Blier, 95, of Beloit, Wis., died Tuesday, May 15, 2001, in Premier Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing. She was born Feb. 10, 1906, in Waterville. She was one of 18 children, the daughter of Albert Cyr and Bridget Guite Cyr. She married Robert J. Blier in 1931 inRumford, who predeceased her on Feb. 15, 1976. Alma worked as a Lay and Eucharistic minister and was a member of the Ladies of Saint Anne Society for the Notre Dame Catholic Church in Waterville and most currently was a communicant of St. Jude's Catholic Church in Beloit. She enjoyed sewing, knitting and crocheting. Survivors include her daughter, Jacqueline (Donald) Wincapaw of Beloit, Wis.; son, Paul (Suzanne) Blier of Meridian, Ms.; 12 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, three sisters, Mayme (Harold) Thompson of Springhill, Fla., Jean Crocket of Waterville and Jackie "Nick" Nicholas of Panama City, Fla.; brother, Paul (Adrianne) Cyr of Waterville; daughter-in-law, Denise Blier-Moholland of Bangor; many nieces, nephews and cousins still living throughout the U.S. Alma was predeceased by her parents, her son, Robert N. Blier; 14 brothers and sisters. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 19, 2001, in St. Jude Catholic Church, 747 Hackett St., Beloit, Wis., with Fr. Bill Connell officiating. Burial will be held in St. Francis Cemetery, Waterville. There will be no visitation. Daley-Murphy-Wisch & Associates Funeral Home, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, Wis., assisted the family with arrangements.
