        FORT KENT – Mamie (Blier) Ouellette, 87, died peacefully Jan. 31, 2012, at a Fort Kent health care facility. She was born Dec. 2, 1924, in Fort Kent, the daughter of Albert and Mable (Bourgoin) Blier.

        She is survived by her four children, James Ouellette of Fort Kent, Marie and her husband, Don Boucher, of Bristol, Conn., Linda Uryga of Cape Coral, Fla., and Maynard Ouellette of Fort Kent; one foster son, Patrick Sark of Madawaska; four brothers, Renie Blier of Madawaska, Clarence and his wife, Phelda Blier, Emile Blier, and Garland and his wife, Jacqueline Blier, all of Fort Kent; three sisters, Sadie Boucher, Gertrude Boucher, both of Fort Kent, and Bertha and her husband, Leon Boucher, of Southington, Conn.; 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and cousins. Mamie was predeceased by her husband, Adrien Ouellette, in 1981; one brother, Eddie Blier; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

        Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 3, and 11 a.m. until time of service Saturday at Daigle Funeral Home, Fort Kent. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 4, at St. Louis Catholic Church, Fort Kent. Spring burial will be held May 15 at St. Louis Catholic Cemetery.
